ok, finally went out and got the compression gauge today and tested my car. i have a 96 RS that i bought last summer. well, i had been noticing it using a little more oil than usual so these are my compresssion #'s 160-170-180-160, then i shot some oil down the hole (copt test on the MODS section said to) i got 160-175-195-180. so...whats probably wrong and what do i need to do?? the engine is basically stock except short ram and exhaust work. its still under warranty at this time (bought it with car) so will they cover whatever is wrong, if anything?? please respond!!

p.s. i noticed after i got done, i checked my oil and it was about half way down...could this hurt my #'s????

I doubt they will do any warranty work unless there is an actual problem you can describe to them other than "it burns oil", warranty work is like pulling teeth. your numbers seem a little low, but not horribly, and by performing the oil in the cylinder trick, your numbers didnt jump up a considerable amount, so id say you are ok now, but your rings may be on the way out. i believe 210 is about the best compression you can hope for on the stock compression pistons. like i said, you numbers arent low enough that i would really worry about it, but they are definitely below the optimum level.
