Do our cars have a limited slip on them? I've done burnouts before where I know for a fact that I've left two back marks (although not very long, 10 ft usually). I have done a couple, when I really revved rather high and kept my revs up during the burnout when it seems as though I could just sit there and peel forever. After looking at one of those burnout marks today, there was only one line.... what's up with this?

A limited slip is something that comes factory on some cars (although very few front wheel drive ones... only the seR Spec-V comes to mind). Anyway, what it does is makes it so that when one of the drive wheels is overpowered (and therefore begins to spin) power is sent to another drive wheel. Think of it as all wheel drive, only with just two wheels and you're pretty close to the general idea of limited slip.

the latest preludes have LSD's.. but anyway. it all depends on traction conditions of each tire.. and somewhat on how the drive lines (half shafts) are designed. if one tire has even a mild amount more grip then the other tire.. then the one with less will spin and as soon as it does.. it'll spin more because as most people know when you burn rubber (or skid) the tire has much less traction capabilities then when it is not 'sliding' across the surface.
on zx2's (such as mine) they have equal length half shafts and no lsd, but more often that not, they'll burn both tires if you try and do a burn out, as long as one tire isn't on gravel and such and you aren't trying to do a corner. i've done several and one time on an angled road the whole front of the car slid to the right cause both front tires were spinning.. hehe.

Not hard at all, anyone can do it. The problem does not lie within the level of workmanship required, but how deep the checkbook goes.
Your looking at a Quaife unit for 1175 + shipping + 12 mopar ring gear bolts, + 2 mopar cone bearings + mopar output shaft bearing + rubber mallott(to beat on spped gear) + 3 quarts of mopar nv-t350 tranny fluid + anerobic gasket maker. Bout 1500 said and done i'd say, you doing the labor yourself, and if you dont your crazy.
All you gotta do is pull the tranny, take the case apart, unbolt the ring gear bolts from the stock diff. Remove the ring gear. Take the quaife somewhere and have the cone bearing pressed on, come back home, bolt the ring gear on with the new ring gear bolts, remove the speedo gear with a screw driver, beat the speedo gear on the quaife with a rubber mallot, pop the new unit back in the tranny(it just sits there), put a bead of anerobic gasket maker around the case, seal the case back up(easier said than done, you always get hung up on the shifter rails or the output shaft bearing breaks).
