I've been smelling oil burning from under my hood and actually see the smoke everytime I drive my Eclipse HARD for more than 30 miles. Is this actually normal for a car with more than 75,000 miles on it? I've actually change the oil every 3,000 miles. I don't think I actually push it too hard a bit over a 100 mph less then often. I drive a 97 RS... Thanks in advance.

Check you're gaskets. The valve cover gasket should be needing replacement around 75k.

It could also be a leaky pcv hose. Check the top of your valve cover, around the plug wires... Any oil? If so, that's what your smelling. When you run hard the engine gets hot enough that it might start cooking off that oil. I know because i have the same problem. Just need to get off my ass and get it fixed.
