my o2 sensor is on the way but what i was wondering was why it stayed on for a few days then went off while driving. i shut the car off and let it sit, then late came back and drove it and it came back on after a while of driving. why would it go away then come back?

that happen to me also when my 02 sensor went BAD.. it did that on/off deal for a couple days then after some time it just did not go off anymore... just replace it and you should be good to go...
