Does anybody know how to re-wire the cooling fans to both come on at the same time?

I really think it would help cooler air get to my short ram intake.
Also, it might help cool the engine down when it gets hot.
TIA,
Keanan

from what i've been told all you do is run the wires from on harness to the matching wires to the other harness. don't cut them just splice into them. i'll be doing this soon as well.

I know at one point there was a link to another board that had the instructions specifically. Does anyone know what the link is?

Yes the AC will turn on the fan, but also create a larger load on the engine. If you are looking for a cooler engine and more power turning on the AC is not the way to go. And it depends on how fancy you want to get you, can run a wire direct, you can ruun your own power and control it with a switch, do things with relays...

i have done this mod.. and i believe there is a writeup out there for it, but cant seem to find it again.. bassically when i did it, i got some powerwire of about 16-18ga and got my chiltons and found the wiring for the fans. the one that comes on all the time is on the right side, and the other one next to it will turn on when the ac turns on.. there is some sensor somewhere that tells the other fan to turn on, but i dont know where and which one. ok.. lookign at the chiltons, find the wireing diagram of the fans.. you will need to tap into the positive of the fan that works and run a wire to the positive side of the other fan. i routed mine on top of the radator and zip tied the wires so they were secure. then again run another wire from the ground wire of the working fan to the ground on the other fan.. i kept the plugs on the end of the wires, but on the fan that did not work(left side) i unplugged the harness and just secured the seperated plugs with electrical tape(to help keep the connectors safe from misc stuff) and zip ties. anywhere i used my wire tapping method i reinforced it with electrical tape and zip ties. and viola.. 2 fans come on at the same time. makes for a slightly louder running engine, but oh well.

sorry i hadnt posted this earlier, but i had thought someone would have taken care of the process by now.

oh i have some pics of what it looks like after its done on my web site.. http://66.25.57.121:8080/photoalbum/cars/jason look under pictures and engine bay and there should be pics of the finished product for example this one

and this one
