Q.1 how does all four thottle bodies work at the same time? 4 cables, 1 for each one of them?

Q.2 what are the performace gains?

Q.3 why don't they make tubular intake manifold? or in other words.. why do they always cast a intake manifold? does it really need thick outer walls to survive?

** tubular doesn't always have to be a round tube. it could be square or oval or whatever.

reason I'm asking is:

I've easy access to school's Metal Shop. they have all the equipments. I've worked quite a bit with metal. steel and iron. I think I'm going to do some research on it, and design it to fit our car. since its gonna cost me next to nothing.. "-" the cost of throttle bodies.

Q.4 Am I out of my mind? Am I missing something? Is there something that i don't know? Its 3:12 in the morning, should I just go to sleep?

any words of wisdom?

I really dont know much about the 4 individual TB's except that it privides complete air control for each cylinder, but you defintely need standalone to benefit from it. In terms of the manifold, yes it needs to have cylindrical shape not square. You should create you own tubular intake manifold with short thick runners.

Those things run off the Electromotive TEC-II

I imaginie it woudl not be too difficult to modify the TEC-II setup for our car. It is very doable but also expensive. If you are serious about making power all mtoor, this is one of the best ways of doing it.

Yeah, it comes with it's own controller. A custum bottom half of the intake may be needed. depending on the bolt pattern, if I remember right the throttle body unit bolts to the bottom half of the stock intake on the Neons. You'd most likely have to have a custom throttle cable made.

This is very expensive but, could be interesting. I don'thave the money for it but would love to see the results.
