#24181, "Problems getting going! Help, Please!"

Alright, here it goes. I am having a problem with getting going in first and sometimes second. All of a sudden it feels like the motor is hesitating. It almost feels like I'm just learning how to drive stick. When I start out in first and put my foot on the gas the car starts to hesitate really bad. I also hear what a sounds to be like a small back fire coming from the motor. The spark plugs are new and the wires are in perfect shape. I just gave the car a full tune up and now I am lost. It is a 99 gs 5spd with approximately 50,000 miles. Any help would be much appreciated! TIA!

All the wires are correct. If they weren't it would run like crap all the time. The car runs fine and it idles perfect.

It happens on and off all the time. Even when the car is at normal operating temp.

Sounds like your not getting fuel, try replacing the fuel filter.

That was my next move, you think it's that simple? I would think that it would idle bad also if that was the problem. Would that cause it to make that popping noise which sounds like a back-fire from the engine?
