Had a CEL for quite some time now as I have been away at college. Now that I am back at home I took it over to Autozone for the free error code checking ( What a great deal by the way...sure beats the shit out of paying the dealer 67 bucks!!). Anyways it came back a code 0442 which is a small leak in the evaporative emissions control system....yeah so what the ehll does that mean? Any ideas on what parts are at fault? Seems to have happened aboput the time I put on an intake but I know that has nothing to do with it. Aside from the intake everything under the hood is stock. TIA

I replaced my EVAP vent valve after that the code never came back. I got it for $15 from the parts.com. Take it out and it will have a part number on the side. I think its starts with 04--- something like that. Hope it help you.
