#23897, "Timing Belt... weak crankshaft threads"

Long story, but I need 2 take my AFX UDP off & then back on while putting minimal amount of force on the threads used by the bolt. I've read our manual & a couple faq's & cheats. Some1 pleaz tell me if these will help & how specifically they work (coming out of our manual). Also, it would help if I knew where 2 go get them as I doubt AutoZone has these 2 rent (would B nice).

Remover Crankshaft Damper/Sprocket
Tool Number: MB995057

Installer Crankshaft Damper/Sprocket
Tool Number: MB995035

Crankshaft Pulley Holder Pin
Tool Number: MD998719/MD998754?

I've already got a Harmonic Pulley Puller 4 the AFX UDP w/ correct size bolts (x3). If any1 in the Middle TN Area (Nashville) has these (any/all) & they would help, pleaz lemme know if I could borrow/rent them from U.

P.S.
Do I need anything special 2 pull off the Cam sprockets Bsides the tool 2 hold them in place?

Thanx,
- J

From the descriptions... and I have not checked on what the tools are. But it sounds like a fancy screwdriver the hold the crank pulley from turning. And the a removal and installation tool probably similar to what you have. Some have used ( I had to this weekend because I forgot my longer crank bolt) a 6" extension for a 3/8" ratchet and you can press on this. But I only used it for the last bit, so I don't know how much I would trust it for the whole push...

Una salus victus.

No, a standard tool keeps the crank from turning... this damper is what the dealer uses instead of a longer crank bolt. Any1 know anything about this?
