#23871, "Apex N1 with custom piping"

I know where i can get an Apex N1 catback but it is made for an Acura CL.I was wondering if i could have a 2.25 or 2.5 inch exhaust mandrel bent and welded to it. It seems that all mufflers are made pretty much the same and the CL is a 2.2 and 2gnts are 2.0, so there couldn't be that much difference. I want an Apex N1 but i don't wanna spend 600 bucks on one. Could this be done? Is it worth it? Will there be any performance loss or gain? any input will be appreciated thanks

well if your turbo it would help to have 2.75 or 3" piping if not 2.25 or 2.5 is fine. i would just buy the N1 muffler, take it to a muffler shop and ask them to make you custom piping mandrel bent and you would be set. and you would save yourself a lot of money instead of spending 600 for the catback.

You can do it but the hangers will be in the wrong place since it's made for an acura.

I guess they could cut off and re-weld the hangers or could they?

Im probably gonna buy it this week.It will probably take some time to have all the piping made. What size piping should i get? im thinking about bypassing the cat also, should i do that? Im just gonna get the guy to try to run it as straight as possible without any major bends.
I will post up some pics when i can, that is if i can figure how to post pics on here...hehe well thanks for your help
