ohkay ohkay, found OBX's web site and see a full cat for my 99 GS for like 350, 2.75 bent stainless steel w/4.5 tip, anyone know if this is crap? I'm doing upgrade on EXTREME budget, so this would be fine, I know it's not gonna be greddy or anything, but I need some easy HP, anyone have one of these or heard them?

howell has pix of it on their site, and i have a pic i ganked from corbins site that shows both the pfunk and the stock exhaust so u can see/compare em...

http://seangordon1.tripod.com
go to the mods page, and then the list link....scroll down a lil ways..

stock exhaust is 2.25ish press bent... so more like 2 or even less in some places...

2.5" i have heard is good to about 300hp, and 3" is good for even more...

i snaggd mines from summitracing.com awhile back, so i dunno what their current prices are...

good luck

I just put on the full obx cat back exhaust last weekend and it was money well spent. I have the type h and it looks great and fit perfect. The only real problem i had doing the install was getting the old exhaust off. The hinge points matched stock point and the old bolts fit perfectly. The only thing you will need is a couple of washers for the connection to the cat. The bolts that come with the cat back don't work with our cats. The old bolts are a tad bit to long butu that's about with things to look for. Oh one more thing, check to make sure the bolt holes on the new cat back exhaust where it hooks to the cat are cleaned out. Mine had a liilte left over metal and needed to be filed out. I thing the obx kit is a great buy and it looks great. next up is obx high flow cat and header.

the h type is loud but has that cool rumble sound to it. From inside the car it's a tad bit louder than the stock exhaust but i don't really notice it. I only really hear it when i pass 3500 rpm's. If you want quit go for the obx type R exhaust, less resinating. The only thing is the type r is on back order until the middle of june. If you want a obx cat back i can sell you one for just under 3 bills.
