This might sound dumb but here goes... I want a set a Crane nitrous grind cams for my '99 but someone told me that until I start running nitrous (another month) that those cams would probaly hurt performance more than help it when I'm not squeezin'. Is this true? If so what grind cams would be good for my application? I want a set of cams that would most help the nitrous, but I don't want to sacrifice all around performance when I'm not squeezin' Someone please help!!

P.S: I was planning on going ahead and getting new springs, retainers, and valves while I'm at it, is this a good idea or should I just get the cams now and the rest later?

The nitrous grond is actually a more powerful grind than the street grind but not as powerful as the drag grind.

So will i have problems with it, like at idle and whenever I'm not squeezin'. I don't want such a radical cam that my car struggles to idle (been there, done that)
