#2357, "Recall"

I found out today when I took my car in this morning to the dealer (96 GS) that there is another recall on the lower ball joints. This is the second recall on them...couldn't they get it right on the first recall. Oh well, just letting everyone know that needs to know.

Currently:
5Zigen Exhaust
Matrix Intake
Hot Shot Headers

How long does it take to look at, and also how long does it take to fix it if they find a problem?

It covers 1995 thru 1998 Talons. It is also noted that the 1995 and 1996 Talons were covered on a previous recall and they should be brought back in and checked again. Doesn't take long to inspect(less then an hour) but figure at least another hour if they have to r/r them.
Got both of my arms replaced on the last recall but am taking it back for them to look at again. WHO KNOWS

To get your money back if you already had it done:
" If you have already experienced the problem described above and have paid to have it repaired, you may sent your original receipts and/or other adequate proof of payment to the following address for reimbursement: DaimlerChrysler Customer Assistance Center, P.O.Box 1040, St. Charles, Mo. 63302-1040, Attention: RECALL CENTER."

That is word for word from the recall. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE COPIES OF ANYTHING you send, just incase.
GOOD LUCK

Symtom : DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND MAKE A TURN AND YOUR WHEEL/HUB ASSEMBLY FOLDS IN AND YOUR SLIDING DOWN THE HIGHWAY ON THE SIDE OF YOUR WHEEL AND YOUR FRAME AND FRONT FACIA.
Sorry, I don't mean to be a smartalec but DO make the time to have it checked. This is NOTHING to mess with. I have already had both of mine replaced once under the past recall and I am going back again to make sure. NEVER can be too safe. Have it checked, PLEASE.

Question.

You think SATAN would still look at it and fix it if the car is lowered and EXTENSIVELY modified??? I might try anyway.

Funny.... my front left wheel popped off while I was going 60mph on US1 last year. Exactly what you mentioned happened.

Had mine rechecked this morning. The paperwork took longer then the check up did. Everything was ok. I talked with the mech myself while he was doing it.
