I know this has been asked a 1000 times but I have a 97GS and wanted to change the tranny fluid(manual). The problem is I don't know whether to get gl-4 or gl-5. The manual for the car says Texaco MTX Fluid FM. I called the dealer but they don't sell it since they get it in bulk amounts. I called the old Eagle dealer and they had 2 different part numbers for the oil. One was for $14(75w90)and there was another oner for like $9. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Just go to Satan and ask them for the manual transmission fluid for your car. It is designed for the NV-T350 transmission. It is about $12-$14 a quart, you will need 3. Also when you chage it, get a funnel with a long hose...

You HAVE TO use the Mopar Manual Tranny FLuid. It's $14 per qt and is made specifically for our tranny and the synchros will not last if you use something else.
