Its a resistor, It will fool the computer that something is off. Basicly, the comp runs off voltage signals, like it might get a 7v signal, but with a resistor the output may now be 6v so the computer will change the settings. If some one will try this I bet I can tell you how to do it for 40 cents. Its late so I wont get my restor color chart out

it'd help for a couple HP probably.. we do it on our zx2 and it helps, but if you just do a straight inline resistor like that your car will eventually realize that it's there and will correct accordingly. best way is to use a 0-50Kohm POT that way you only use it when you want to.. and your computer won't get used to it and negate the effects.

but I don't know if it'd be worth it for you guys..

The principle is sound, make the ECU think the intake air is cooler than it is and it should advance timing. It's worth a try. for under $1, not for the almost $9 he'd be charging with shipping...
