#23424, "How much hp out of a NA 95 Talon??"

How much hp out of a NA 95 Talon?? I am looking to get about 300 hp to the wheels out of my car by the time i am done with the engine. What would it take? Or should i just say fahq it and buy a Hahn stage 2? I love the sounds of turbo but it would be mighty schweeeet to get to my mark by spending a lil here and a lil there as opposed to $2,300 in one lump sum. Less whining from teh girlfriend as well emoji

its gonna take a lot more than 2300 bucks to achieve 300 wheel hp if you stay naturally aspirated. just save for a turbo emoji

my engine has ab00t 95k on it. so if i go turbo i should rebuild. I know the person before me didn't take care of it. It had some really old plugs in it when i got it. i am gonna have ot replace most of the exhaust piping as it is rusted and the muffler has a hole in it. besides that though i don't think it was beat on emoji .....just poorly maintained emoji. To make a long story short, i am not thinking my engine could handle a turbo, and if it can i am not sure how long it could. Therefore i figure NA would be the way to go since i could slowly add power here and there. A huge sudden increase in power could hurt my baby, and that is bad mmmkay? emoji

300hp to the wheels is nearly impossible if you stay NA. Youd have to come up with more than 175hp without using turbo/n2o/supercharger (not that we have one).

good luck though

well....i guess 300 after a 75 shot would suffice....unless i can get enough peeps to sway me that a turbo would be a good idea.

Get a turbo or get rid of the car.

yeah seriously check out HRCs site it's very convincing that turbocharging is the cheapest way to gain horsepower. SO you gotta make a choice am I gonna go NA or am I gonna go turbo cuz there's a point where you can't have one without going backwards.

300HP NA would require a lot of tuning, engine work, and engineering.
