Ok, so i got my new clutch in... went back to the stock clutch, thought hell this one went this far why not again so anyway... i can hear a grinding noise coming from my tranny when its in neutral, if i push the clutch in while its still makin the grinding noise, its silient. so it leads me to think that he messed up installing this clutch do you have anyideas on what it might be?

could it be the throw out bearing is bad, or off track somehow? Hmm, maby someone else has better insight on this matter, because clutch installs are pretty hard to mess up, not much to them... on my first tranny install on a 240sx i had, I put the to bearing in backwards and caused all kinds of mess and wasted time, hehe... but our to bearing is a 1 way deal so i dunno.

If you reused the old TO bearing, that's your problem.. because it sounds like a TO bearing.

sounds to me like the retainer clips on the t/o bearing is probably cracked or just gone bad. This really sucks bro cause the only thing to do is drop the tranny again. Always always replace the bearing when doing a clutch. late mike
