I've seen Dino and fast420a at the howell board, and they have been readin up on their storker kit as well as I am. They are selling it for 1599.00 and 150 core charge. They require you to send in your crank so they can modify it. Right now they said you'd have to wait about 3 weeks until they get enough cranks. They Put in their kit and overbored to .040 and got 2.2L. The 1600 includes Eagle Rods, JE Pistons, rings, bearings, and a bottom end gasket kit. I havn't been able to get a hold of any HP figures yet, but i'm asuming we'll be in between the 2.0 and the 2.4 swap figures. so probably 20 more TQ and i'm not sure how much more HP the 2.4 gives. But with the 2.2, the rod ratio isn't as bad, you know where the block came from, as the 2.4 you might not, and there isn't any need for rewire, engine swap, motor mounts, etc. The rev would be better than 2.4l, and you'd be supporting the 420a community at the same time if you bought from howell. This is just my summery on the whole deal, and have wanted to do a 2.4 swap, but have heard of problems from others, and this just sounds a lot easier. So if you are gonna rebuild soon, I would suggest gettin this kit as well... 3 weeks isn't so bad now is it? Even if you are already down. GIVE GARY SOME MAIL!!! Fast420, tell me if you get this.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.
If not. Go here: here

If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.

420aye. You'll probably get th same power (HP) if not more then the 2.4L swap (but possibly less of a TQ increase) because putting the stroker kit in will increase the compression ratio. What is the compression ratio of their stroker kit? since that doesn't seem to have been mentioned yet. and don't tell me it's not increased. It'd have to be unless they gave you dished pistons to bring the compression back down.. which would be stupid and I don't see why they'd do it.

I'm not real sure on the compression... I think someone mentioned it, but I don't got the time to go look for it. Someone go check it out emoji

The base it is still 9.6:1 if you want higher compresion pistond you can order them, and if you are sticking NA I would HIGHLY suggest going higher compression. Just because it's a stroker kit it does not mean the compression is increased. But Howell allows you to pick what compression ratio pistons you want. I would suggest going higher. If you are going all out go with 12.5:1 if not 10.5:1 or even 11.5:1.

Actually.. just because it's a stroker kit does mean the compression will be increased.. if the STOCK pistons are retained and it's just a crank and rod modification. cause the longer stroke will create a slightly higher compression ratio.. again, if the stock pistons are retained, which they very well could be.

The stroker kit uses the howell bottom end kit and some crank modification to increase displacement. The kit is available in the same compression ratios as the normal bottom end kit.
