#22852, "AFX TB USERS!!!!????"

I was chatting with my buddy about how I am soon to purchase a bored TB. He said that I would have to dremel the intake to match the TB. Is this true with the AFX ones as well.....?????

No you don't. The front side of the throttle body is all that gets bored out. It looks like a funnel going to the butterfly then opens up on the back to 55mm.

The AFX is 55mm all the way thru. No venturi like stock. Butterfly is larger than stock. I had mine portmatched to the intake and material had to be removed but I wouldn't say its neccessary. I did it cause I had the manifold off. I also had the manifold port matched to the head and ported the manifold myself. Just blipping the throttle in nuetral the car felt like it had a lightened flywheel. Felt pretty good down low and in the midrange. After a week I got used to it and it felt stock again.

Yeah it's not an exact match, but there is so little difference wait until you port and polish the manifold to worry about it. Or some sand paperr would be enought o smooth out the inlet on the manifold and make it bigger...
