#2283, "Underdrive Pulley Install"

I'm contemplating an underdrive pulley. Is this something that I can install with basic tools and ramps? If I have to get it done by a mechanic, how much labor should I have to expect to pay?

Yes you can do it yourself. You need a 3 jaw pulley puller, floor jack, harmonic balancer tool or an oven, and sockets and wrenches...took me about 4 hrs.

-AF/X underdrive crank pulley
-AEM Cold Air intake w/bypass valve
-PIAA headlight and foglight bulbs
-Clear bumper lenses
-Eibach Pro-Kits with Tokico n/a shocks
-Pilot Motorsports Front upper, Rear upper, Rear lower strut bars
-PowerSlot rotors (all four)
-Axxis Metal Master pads
-RRE rear camber kit
-Dunlop SP SPORT 8000 tires
-ECLIPSE word on dash
-Red Mitsu symbol on steering wheel
-Painted fog light bezels
-Window tint
-Magnecore wires and NGK plugs
-Purple interior lights
-Purple hose kit

There are two options for installing the AF/X pulley. Option 1 is to draw the pulley on using a harmonic balancer install/removal tool, or Option 2 is to heat the pulley up to 500 degrees farenheight and just slid it on. I used Option 2 to put my pulley on and it slid on like butter. The metal will expand from the heat allowing it to slid on. If you use the oven method make sure the pulley is cool before you install the belts.
