NOw that the E is laid up for valve cover gasket change, i figured the tranny fluid needed some attention.

Got 3 quarts of the Mopar fluid for the NVT transmission.

Now what i dont understand is why on the specs on the 2gnt site does it not say anything about NVT tranny??

The dodge parts guy was awesome and checked all the manuals he had.

The avenger book said that the NVT tranny fluid was the right stuff.

But he called the mitsubishi guys and they said vavloline 75-90....

Then he called a former eagle dealer and their book only had the turbo.

So did i get the right stuff?? I am scared because i seems everyone has tranny problums. I always see stuff about tranny swaps..

Last thing, i saw a post somewhere about pulling a pin in the diff. case or in the tranny to avoid can opener effect, does anyone remember exactly what this was??

Thanks again guys!

me with A-10's Avenger Cannon- can you say depleted uranium rounds?

Sounds like you got the right stuff. The pin in the diff you are talking about can only be welded with the tranny out and apart.

Yeah, what he said.. if you got mopar for the nvt-350 tranny, then your good to go, be careful not to spill that shit cause its extrememly expensive if you didnt notice. Put approx 2.2 quarts in it i believe is what i put. And yeah, the pin is to be welded, not removed, it has been known to widdle its way out over time and cause some nasty bad stuff to happen... but if you dont work on cars yourself, i'd just chance it cause your looking atleast 250-300 bucks to pull the tranny and put it back in, and another little bit to have the pin welded in place.
