Guys, I hate to post again, but it seems that my engine is revving a bit slower, and after I let off the throttle, my revs hang for about 3/4 a second, then fall slower than they used to. I changed my oil from Mobil 1 5W-30 to 10W-30 about 3 days ago, this happened the next day.

First, let me tell you that I'm not expert myself, but I will try anyway.

Make sure that your throttle body, and butterfly plate (I think that the right term) are clean. If they are already clean, that rules out the throttle body, so you might want to do an engine flush just to make sure everything is ok. Then refill it back up with fresh 10w30 oil.

Well, i think you answered your own question.

You just switched from Mobil 1 oil, to what? A sythetic? or regular?

Sythetic motor oil is more free-flowing, and has less friction. You should have noticed that when you were pouring it. I believe
the correct terminoligy is viscosity. The thicker oil will cause more friction.

Go back to Mobil 1 and u will prob see this problem go away.

Also, in addition to the previous posts, you should check to see that the throttle linkage isn't too loose; also check that nothing is rubbing against it, which could also cause friction. You don't happen to have the Howell bored throttle body, do you? They tend to stick a little after you let off the gas.
