A little while back Satan had told me that a hesitation problem in my engine was being caused by a bad relay that is HARDWIRED into the main engine wiring harness and they gave me a bogus part number for the relay. I've been doing a ton of research (even in the Mitsu. Technical Service Manual) and I can't find ONE relay that is hardwired in. I see a bunch in the fuse box and three up by the windshield on the driver side. (I have an auto) They charged me $200. for the diagnosis and I'm begining to think they gave me a line. Can anyone confirm to me that this is a load of crap, so I can go in there and demand my money back?

i know a mechanic at satan's den and he told me about that relay too, cause i have a miss and i really need to get it fixed. he suggested that relay may be bad, i'm not sure how it makes your car miss but it is somehow tied into your ignition, so to answer your question...yes, this does exist and has something to do with ignition. however that mechanic told me that for free, not 200 bucks.
make sure your coil, plugs and wires are all new and good and then explore something like that.

Does your friend know where this relay is? I've been pouring through the service manuals all day and I still can't find it. If I can find out where it is I can get my friend to cut it out of an old harness and wire it into mine. The dealer told me it would be ~$1300 to fix and I almost laughed in his face. Any help would be much appreciated.
