I was wondering what was the best way to launch on a NT AT?
I read in the FAQ section (how to launch):

Make sure the Overdrive is off.
- Start out in Low gear.
- Power brake. This means hold down the brake pedal with left foot and give throttle to about 3000rpm.
- Launch by taking foot off brake and simultaneously flooring accelerator.
- Push the stick forward for each gear at about 6000 rpm.

Would I have to turn the overdrive off any time?...
Has anyone found a better way to launch?
What happens if it automatically shifts at 5000 rpm?

Leave overdrive off until the WAY top of third.

It won't shift at 5000rpms if you have it floored and have O/D.
That is the best way.

You won't be able to powerbrake to 3000rpms, but go as high as you can.

Hey I read somewhere that it said to leave it in drive and then powerbrake from there. Is this better than starting out in low gear?

makes no difference if you are going to redline both ways. The tranny will shift automatically at 6500 anyways if you have it in low gear, which is exactly what it does in drive.
