#22239, "Rebuild is finished............Now what?"

I will have my car by then end of this comming week.
I know I have to drive like 1000 miles before boosting, but when should I change the oil and what weight should I use for the first couple of oil changes?
What weight and brand should I use after i start boosing?
I have always used Castrol 10W30 ........but what should I use now??

Also how should I drive it?
It will have a rebuilt engine (Howell) and then some mild port work on the head along with a CM stage 4 clutch, and 440's.

what is the proper break in proceedure??

Thanks

no boost for 500-1000miles 0psi and under... change oil 500miles change oil at 1000miles if u want u can do it 1-2 more times like this... at 1000miles i would up the boost a couple psi at 1500 miles i would boost it up hehe... use regular oil to break it in (wear it in) piston rings etc... but since u got the 440cc injecs im not sure how u can go about tuning it since u should not boost right away... im not sure about that.. i want to rebuild but my compression is still a okie

i changed my oil at 150 miles then at 500 and again at 1000 miles. I ran no boost till about 800 miles, then i hit about 2 psi once in awhile, to kinda give the engine a little push emoji. Once i hit 1000 miles i set it at 7 psi (4.5 after intercoler) and i've got on it how i'd normaly drive, still no hard runs tho.

Just set the afc for the low settings and keep it under 3500 rpms till at least 500 miles (easy driving)

Talk to dino thats how he did his.

yeah definitely change it at least once before 500 miles.. because you get metal shavings from things grinding down to their correct state and you dont want that crap floating around in your motor.

Run your motor for 500 miles with reg 10w 30 then when you change go to a synthetic. As far as running till you get your boost on I wouldnt hook anything up. Your motor will run fine built just low compression it will feel pretty much like a stock motor. But after the turbo sit down shut up and hang on late mike

stage BIG custom mj racing turbo set up, built block.worked head, all tial components, hks evcez, spearco 992,oh yeah and a huge bottle in the trunk last run all turbo 13.8@108 no nos dyno'd at AEBS in Cali with 300+ hp to the wheels
