#22211, "UPDATE ON NO SPARK PROBLEM PLEASE HELP"

Ok guys. I received another computer, asd and fuelpump relays come on when key is turned on. Still No spark. I took each piece one by one and tried them on a friends 95 GS. Computer works, cam sensor works, asd, fuelpump relays work, crank sensor works, coil works, all of those pieces from my car works on his. I need some info on fusible links. The chiltons and haynes manuals I have do not show where the fusible links are on this car. Can someone please tell me where they are on this car so i can see if they are blown.
Car is a 95 GS 5-spd

A friend of mine had a problem like this a few months back. He put a post up on it and I think a few others have run into the same problem. Check underneath the air intake piping. There is a wire bundle underneath. Inspect it, THROUGHLY, to make sure the wires have not melted through. Reason being is it has been known to get pinched between the intake pipe and the EGR tube. The EGR tube gets incredibly hot and eventually will melt right through the wire bundle and the wires themselves over time and will ground them out.

Once I saw what my friend had to go through with repairing his GS b/c of it, I just took my EGR tube out altogether, and fabbed up some sheetmetal to seal the passages. I still passed VA emissions w/o it even hooked up! And next to Cali emissions, I think VA is right up there as being one of the strictest since they now do emissions readings on the dyno running at 15mph and 25mph.

Check that wire bundle out though, especially the underside where it would contact with the EGR tube.....good luck

Patrick
