When people talk about port matching are they just using a dremel to expand the size of the ports on there intake and exaust manifolds to match the ports on there head? Also when people talk about polishing are they just lightly runing the tool around the inside of the manifolds? If this is the case couldn't I just get a dremel and do this myself (maybe use the gasket as a guide) and then run the dremel through out to polish it? I know from reading post in here that the head would be too complicated to screw with without really knowing what I'm doing.

Yes use the gasket to widen the ports to match the gasket. You'll need a flex head and a few different bits to really port and polish it correctly. Summit should carry a kit. There are guys who have actually done this that would be able to give you better tips.

Thanks for the info Michael, I'm gonna have alot of fun doing this. One more question are the ports on the head going to already be the size of the gasket in which case I'll just be doing the manifolds?

I think the ports on the head ar esmallerthan the gasket also, but It's really not worth it to pull the head off just to do the little port work. I would only do the manifold.
