#22156, "Getting ready for my Timing belt..."

OK, I am approaching 60K miles and need to do my t-belt. What I need to know is other than the water pump and under drive pulley, is there anything else I should look at replacing while I am in there?

Replace both of your idler pulleys. I didnt repalce my tensioner when i did mine. I guess just check the condition of yours...

Check the condition of your belts and hoses, belts should not have any cracking or fraying and should not have more that a half inch of play when pushed and pulled on, check upper and lower hoses when car is cooling down, they should be firm to the touch and if you feel any soft spots or bluges change them immediately-MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR TIMING BELT TESIONER, inspect the inside of it and make sure you remove all dirt and debris from the inside race, but just to be on the safe side, I would highly reccomend you change it no since changing the belt and not replacing the tensioner, it's not that expensive but the piece of mind will be worth the cost.

Well, since you are in there, how about cam gears? I am going to be doing these soon, and I wish I had done them with my t-belt change. Ah well, live and learn. ImportHorizon.com has them for $264 shipped for a set of AEMs. I ordered 2 sets, and had them within 6 days. Shipped UPS Ground. I was impressed.
