hell yeah, i notice a BIG performance loss with the A/c on. I think there is just a lot of drag on the engine with driving the a/c clutch..

It's been a while since I ran the AC, but I don't remember it being that bad once I installed the UDP. Before, yeah it dragged.

That is a problem with any I4 car.. A/C compressors take alot to turn. putting a UDP on will definatly help out with that.. another thing that I personaly think is damn cool about my car (and a damn good idea by ford.. for once) is that in my zx2 if I have the A/C and for some reason I need to go fast and stomp on the gas.. The car disengages the A/C at WOT! that is so cool.. hehe. also helps that I have a UDP on.. A/C doesn't hurt nearly as much as it used to.

you guys that live in hot places (that run A/C alot) ya might want to look into rigging a system like Ford put stock in my zx2, which turns the A/C off at WOT.

More rotating mass = less power..(hence good things from UDP)..I hate that...many times during summer I was about to race.....lost and then saw the green button on my A/C and smacked my self....turned it off...caught up....and blew him away lol.....also putting the heat on full takes heat out of the engine bay making the car run slightly faster...(tested that with a Gtech and it worked!)
