I will get the pics up soon. I followed the noen site on this but had to do alot more custom work on the TB, but worth all the work.

The hardest part of it is pluging the bottom hole in the intake. and you also have to gring alot of the jeep tb to get it pluged. I took about 5 pics and will explain everything soon. Just wanted to let everyone know it does work on our cars and no need to bore out for $100

Did you have to open the intake manifold up some to get it to 60mm? I haven't measured the manifold opening in a while and I forget the size.

about the intake manifold. The tb is 60mm from the front to the plate and then reduces to about 58mm on the back. so it is a good match for the manifold.

I am going to port the tb and the manifold soon. I just wanted to see if I could get the idle down tonight.

fast420a: There is no vac hook up on the jeep tb, so could i just follow the line that hooks up to our tb and cap it or should I tap one of the lines that comes out the back of the intake manifold? Now I just put some tap over the hose and it seems to be ok.

The vac line to the TB is from the EVAP canister. Thats where the fuel vapors come from the tank and get stored until the ECU sends them to the TB. It's all emissions bullshit anyways. You may get a CEL from it and you may not. Brad (Super20G) took the whole EVAP system off his car and I am sure I'll probably remove it when my new block goes in.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to machine the Jeep TB's and sell them to us guys that do not have a machine shop? If someone would make one bolt on ready i would buy one asap. Just curious if anyone would want or have the capability to do that.

Can't this thing go faster?

This tb kicks ass. It pulls hard as hell. I couldn't be happier. This is way better than my old ported one. It can only get better when I port my intake manifold.

I just have a question. when I'm driving at a coast and just tap the gas the tb makes a whistle sound. Its like it whistles every time the tb plate is almost closed or just opening.(is this normal)

other than that. my car actually idles better and cant wait to go to the track now. I really wanted a big tb because i'm going to be running nitrous soon.

it only took me like 3 hours to complete the mod with some guess and checking. i got finals this week, but will try to get the write up soon.

I used a 1994 jeep 4.0L

I think you can use any 92-98 4.0L

Just wait for the write up and I will explain how to select a TB.

Dam I hope I got the 60mm. I measured the outside to outside and it was 2.5"

I hope it was the 60mm. It looks big as hell.

The only conversion I know of is: 114.3 = 4.5 (our bolt pattern)

so that means 1" = 25.4mm

and then my tb would be 63.5mm from outside edge to outside edge.

does this sound correct?

I also found out the 60mm = 2.3622 so i'm sure that i got the right one.

but the difference is only .16 of a inch for 4mm difference.

I'm going to call the place i got it from just to make sure. and i'm sure the 90% were auto to begin with.
