When you have a CEL is it supposed to blink every now and then? Mine has been blinking every once in a while then it just stays on. I thought they were supposed to stay lit and not blink unless you do the key dance thing.

From what I understand is when the light starts flashing that's the computer telling you that the problem needs immediate attention, if the light is constant it's a warning that something is wrong the flashing is definitely trying to tell you to get it checked out asap

BOOST!-Tis far better to have it and not need it-than to need and not have it.

Mine does it everyonce in a while due to the exhaust leak in my stock manifold which is giving me the code for running lean and causing the ECU to DUMP fuel thinking it's really lean. It usually does it if I am sitting in traffic at a light.

2 things....

check for boost leaks

check for exhaust leaks

then otherwise i'd say maybe u got a intermitant problem with the 02 sensors or its rubbing against something hot...try to look at both sensors too....

good luck bra

If the cel is flashing that means there's a catalyst damaging condition. Also that it's very important condition needed immediate attention. If it's only on and not flashing... you need to get it looked at your first available chance but you should be able to make it to your destination.
