Just got it in today. I tried to install it but couldn't find the ecu, i always thought it was under the hood but the box there dosn't match the wireing diagram? Any one install one of these before in a 99', if so please help!? Thanks.

it wont match because the SAFC is only "officaily" supported by the turbo models. Your looking at the turbo ECU, if its in the SAFC instructions. try this. its for us RS peoples... http://www.turbogs.com/vfaqs/afc_install_for_420a.htm

its under the hood, near the battary... 95s have a obI smaller ecu... 96+ have a obII bigger but in the same location... you would think its some sorta amp, it has wires coming out from the bottom...

Thanks for the help man, it's installed! Now i just have to hit up the dyno and tune it, thanks again.

that lind does not work, but i cannot seem to locate the ECU anywhere. I have looked and looked, and can't find it. nothing on the internet as well... it's a 99 2.0 rs

Okay well first of all find your fuse box under the hood which is directly behind your drivers headlight. Then go straight back towards the windshield and it is the next thing after the fuse box. It has a black bracket holding it in place and I believe the ecu is silver color and has some cooling fins on the top of it. The top part that you see is probaly an 1.5 - 2inches wide. It is the next thing behind the fuse box, there is nothing else there. You cant miss it.
