ok well since im lazy and prob wont ever take my head off unless i know i have to. im thinking just get the tbelt fixed and do a comp test to see how bad it is

if its bad then ill just rip stuff apart.

i got a good deal on the labor
tbelt was 39 from auto zone.. he said he had 2 though
one for 20 and the cam driven one for 39.. since the belt i need goes over the cam gears i figure that its

what would the other one be>??

water pump was 45bucks

idler t pulley was 145 from mitsu.. auto zone didnt have it. anyone know where i can get one cheaper and is that a good price

the labor for the tbelt if i have parts is only 240..
with water pump 270
and with idler t pulley 300

not bad at all, and this is a good place i have brought my car to b4.

he said he would run a comp test for me too so i dont have to do it there ahaha.. and would put my afx udp on

now i got it from blake the udp and he gave me the belts im guessing dont use them.. and should i change my accsesory belts to?

i dont really plan on keeping this car i want to sell it. so the cheapest fix is the best

i have money just dont want to break the bank with this ordeal

so what all should i change
im at 82k now

i heard the wp and idler t pulley can go to 100k.

so what is my best plan

oh yea mitsu wanted 650 for tbelt and 2300 for a valve job if my valves are bad.. i laughed at the chick

im like 2300 pfft

can get a new head for 200.. or a whole 420a for 400..

I love dino and 2gnt. ####ers (my word) bliz stole it but i let him borrow it

if you're going to go ahead and do the timing belt. id go ahead and replace everything on that side. that includeds water pump, idler pulley, tensioner pulley, timing belt tensioner, and if you put that afx on get a set of new accesory belts too, but they will not be stock length belts.. i belive vegasdsmr has the part numbers for the afx belts on his site.

i guess might as well get it done and if you did mess up the valves just get a new head and swap it in and hopefully that would be the worst of it.

well i just got off the phone with the guy at the auto hobby shop.. its on base and u can go there and use thier tools and lifts and what not for like 3 bucks a hour

plus they do work, cheap
said in 4 hours he could change it all.. everything for 208

but then we got a talking about comp tests and i mentioned a leak down test

he said wait a min, we could rotate the crank where the pistons they are all lined up in the middle of the cyl
then do the leak down and if air comes outta my exhaust then i know i have bent valves

now wouldnt that just mean the exhaust valves are bent or what
or what?

i was thinking i could do this, but wasnt sure and most said no. he said 78 bucks and 1.5 hours to do it.

that would tell me how my valves are and the hobby shop is like 2 mins from me.. so a 5 min tow.. might leave it there 2night

I love dino and 2gnt. ####ers (my word) bliz stole it but i let him borrow it
