#21769, "What should i do before my First START after Rebuild?"
I just rebuilt my engine from the crank up.. i'm finally done... New Crank, New bearings, all new gaskets and hoses, new Unorthodox UDP, etc. I put White Lithium grease on everything and used an Engine Assy. Lube while building, only thing left to do tomm. is Put Oil Pan Gasket and Oil Pan on, Put on Oil Filter (Yes i know Put Oil in filter also), Fill with Coolant and Engine with oil. Is there anything i'm forgetting? What else should i do before turn it over. Should i just disconnect the plug from the Injectors and crank it over 3 or 4 times? Or is there a fuse or relay i can pull to pump some oil through the engine? thanx in advance

yeah your car isnt lubed at start-up but with a complete rebuild there is absolutely no oil above your pan, whereas after a night of sitting there would be a little oil still on there. but if it was me i would just pour the oil in the filler hole before startup, i wouldnt think youd have to run it without fuel and spark for a few seconds. its not THAT fragile, whats more important is what you do to it for the first few thousand miles.
