I know this might sound dumb but read on... I was reading a post (By: thedawg) http://www.2gnt.com/dcforum/DCForumID13/4747.html And he was talking about removing the belts on his car... The thing I was thinking about is that, instead of having a belt (which robs power), spinning it... do you think you could be a cheap turbo to spin it instead? Because think of how much power would come out of it.. Both electricity (for electronics, or for some reason, trying to get a bigger spark), and power from the engine (because the belts would be gone)... If anyone has some idea, please tell me... Has anyone ever tried it? I'm just thinking broad right now, so I'm just wondering... Thanks

wouldn't be worthwhile.. running the alternator off of the crank (where it is stock) would work much better. alternators also take alot of power to turn.. probably way more then you could get the turbine on a turbo to put out.
