I fired up my motor after installing 8:5:1 Turbo pistons eagle rods well.......I am kinda confused she's kinda got a choppy idle kind of a lobe not the steady humm like Iam used to.??? I thought it could maybe be vacuum lines/leak?? not sure I did install AEM Cam gears maybe Im off a half tooth eerr somthing?? anyone have any clues as to what I should check...before I go thru the timting belt again...!? 2f8#@**
another thing is I installed the AFX UDP it has shredded my PWS pump belt,The Alt belt seems to be fine>??>?? oh yeah the good news is no leaks no broken parts flyin around inside so that a good thing,,,

With your crank at TDC see if the marks on your cam gears line up, if not then use your adjustable cam gears to compensate (if you are off a tooth on the blet you will need to adjust the cam gears ~10 degrees) and see if that fixes your idle. If it does then your problem is your timing belt is off. If it doesn't then you know it is something else, but STILL fix the timing belt!

Is is just a little choppy when you start it? Sort of sounds like a tractor? If so that is just the pistons. They do that. After the car warms up it should be fine. This hapened with my friend's rebuild as well.

lol thats just what it sounds like a tractor!!! but theres kindof a surge in the idle I have read one guy with the same gears that says his idle is fawked too but I matched up the gears with stock one and they look the same except being adjustable..
yeah the marks line up darn close!!! I am thinking it has something to do with the EGR mod!?? I'll keep yall posted thanks for the replys and help!!
