I've got a squeel under the hood when I make sharp turns (power steering) but also when I get above 5,500 rpm, is this caused by the timing belt? or the regular belts. I'm going to replace my belts in a couple weeks, should I replace the timing belt while I'm under the hood? I have 82,000 miles, and I just bought the car 2 weeks ago. Should I replace? And how much does it cost for the timing belt? I don't have to worry about labor, I've got that under control.

the timin belt is a 60k maintenance. check to see the past service records, if u can... its tough.

to tighten belts (thats probably your problem) its a cuple bolts here and there. if u have cruise control, the alt belt is a hoe...
