Title says it all, do headers create higher water temp. Ever since I installed my headers my water temp. sits at 210. Without a heat shield and thinner piping I am guessing engine bay temp. will rise, in turn makin water temp. rise. So I am assuming everything is normal right?

that and performance 'tube' headers get hotter then factor headers and they sit within inches of the radiator. so unless you are moving or the fan is on, the radiator won't cool the water too much with a hot ass header heating it up. could be something entirely different though.

Can't be anything else, everything else is good. Water level is good and stays at a constant level, no leaks anywhere. The only problem I can see is that the thermostat is fucking up, but this all started when I installed my headers so I am guessing that is why and it's not the thermostat.

Ya its gotta be the headers, since there is no heat shield. I don't know if mine changed em because the stock temp guages suck so it still looks the same. I heard the first gauge a lot of turbo guys get is water temp since stock is not accurate enough.

Yup stock water temp. gauge sucks, doesn't move at all. I have autometer water temp. gauge and it will actually move depending on how I drive, the stock gauge is just not sensitive to measure that shit, it has to be something major to affect that stock gauge.
What is the thermostat opening temp. for the thermostat on are cars 180 correct? Should I try a 160 thermostat?
