Hey man... check out http://www.levelten.com. They do shift kits, high stall TCs, performance rebuild kits, valve body recalibrations, and also complete race trannies. I'm working on a much cheaper alternative and I'll post details when I get mine done.

Are there any other mods that might do the trick?
If I get Torque Converter do I have to get Shift Kit? (Vice Versa)
What kind of gains or advantages and disadvantages may come of this?

The Torque Converter will improve your launches. If your want better acceleration, swap out your drive gears for the Dodge Stratus drive gears (part #4773275). If you want improved shifting, go for the shift kit. You don't have to do them at the same time... it's just whatever is most important to you. The TC will give you very noticable results, and with the other mods you should be on the same level as a 5 speed. Search back a couple of pages in this forum and you'll find all the info you need. We were debating it just a few days ago.

If you plan to upgrade the tranny, I would recommend doing an auto-to-manual swap rather than upgrading the auto torque converter etc. The manuals can also rev higher to make use of your power - autos really suck compared to manuals.

But last week, I was driving a rental car, an Oldsmobile 2 door alero, and it had more torque, but even less power in the higher rpms than my car. And I thought my car was slow...
