My friend has a stock 95 eclipse.
It will not start.
It will crank but will not turn over??????

What could it be?
I was thinking the starter..
He said there are no engine lights, so is there any way to check the starter or anything else you guys think it may be..

this is very confusing, usually crank=crankin over/turnin over...

pleez give more info... look at air/fuel/spark..
if the engine turns over upon turnin da key, and it wont start, it could be wires/fould plugs/fuel delivery issues...

if the engine cranks/turns over/tries to start, but doesnt catch, it definately isnt the starter or the battery.

good luck.. give sum more info into the prob, and im sure your answer will be provided, or help u on your way....

Yes it is trying to start, almost turns all the way over but will not.
He said he checked the plugs and it is getting gas.
What else could it be??????????

Crank shaft position sensor or cam shaft position sensor.
