you have to seriously submerge your car to suck up any h2o, my car is damn low and i've been in water that was above my door level and my car ran fine w/ the aem cai w/ no valve

Eclipse Racer - Dude... you don't need a bypass valve where we live. I'm lowered 2" and have went through LOTS of water. Rain won't hurt it, but if you're about to submerge the entire cone element in water then kill the engine.

i would say you could do like me, just don't drive it in the rain. but the only reason i do this is b/c i have the cold air intake and do not like the by-pass valve and i have no wipers. plus, i hate to get it dirty! later
