#20646, "Flowmaster vs. Ractive"

I've narrowed down my exhaust choice to either a straight through Ractive pipe, or a 60 series flowmaster. Anybody like the sound of either of these better?

IMHO Flowmasters are way to loud. You can get a Magnaflow for about the same price. That'll give you a nice deep bassy tone. Ask anyone here who has a Magnaflow

I gotta Magnaflow - simply love it. Gave my car a nice extra kick and isn't overly loud. Nice deep tone too. You can get it for $95 here: http://www.roadraceengineering.com/3g/magnaflow.htm

You'll want the Street Series on the bottom of the page. Says its for the 3G Eclipse but works fine with ours.

I got a magnaflow back in september and it gave my eclipse a nice deep tone. Sounds like my Latemodel stockcar just not as loud as it.

are the magnaflows from RRE bolt on, or do they require welding?

I just had a local muffler shop install it. cut the resonator out and strait piped it back from my header. Ofcourse MarionCounty, FL has no emissions laws or decibal laws

They are universal so require welding, probably about 30 to 50 bucks depending on what muffler shop does it.
