Has anyone every heardof this problem before. The car
acts exactly like it is hitting the rev limiter. 5spd,
either in netral or in gear.



97' Eclipse RS (kinda)

Present mods:
HRC stage III turbo kit (12 psi street, 25 psi track) / HKS 2 1/2" cat back exhaust w/burnt cat / 16" wheels w/Yokohomo tires (215/40) / 420A engine w/ tool

Thats the ECU putting you in Limp mode, whats wrong? Any CEL?

it's your MAP sensor, i'm positive. it happened to me, i blew it and the car wouldn't rev above 4k rpms at all, it was EXACTLY like hitting a rev lim.

Yeap, MAP sensor. Check the wiring, check your HRC fuel mapper/VC1, watch the sensor check screen of your AFC.. You'll figure out pretty quick if it's actually dead or just improperly wired. Operating range of 1-5v...
