#2043, "NEED HELP!!! CAM GEAR PROBLEM!!!"

Ok, I have set my cam gears to +2 intake and -2 exhaust. Now my car lopes like a V8 at idle and shuts off when I slow down to stop. I have to give my car a little rev in order to keep it from shutting off. My setup before was terrible. The shop that set them up didnt know what they were doing but my car's idle was smooth. But my car was slower than stock. Their setup was -4 intake and +4 exhaust. That setup was horrible for power. My car feels faster now that I had them set to what you guys recommended. But what I want to know is if any of you guys who have the same setup are having the same problem or not? From what I can see, no, cause no one has complained about this setup. But I am afraid that there is something wrong with my car or something. Everything was fine before they were set again but my car was slower than stock. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Plus I forgot to mention that my Check Engine light has been coming on while driving. I used my friend's OBD2 scanner and it gave me the reading 300 which is engine misfire. Now what could be causing the misfire? At higher RPMs my car feels fine. I didnt feel any type of misfiring after 2k RPMS. Idle is where I believe its happening.

I get that multiple cylinder misfire code all the time. It only comes on at idle. This is due to the rough idle from the head work I have (my cam gears are set to 0-0 now). Try out this setting, which was second best in my dyno runs - do -2 intake and -2 exhaust. That might help your idle out a bit. I think each car is different. My car used to die at idle when coming to a stop too. But that was with the head ported and milled. Let me know how it goes...
