I did a real simple procedure yesterday on my 1995 Eclipse RS. I replaced the valve cover gasket, everything went very well. I put the everything back together, put the distributor back on and now it won't start. It turns over, but won't start all the way. Possibly the distributor? What do I do? I have a Chilton's Repair Manual but I'm not sure what to look for. I am a weekend mechanic, I do simple things, I am not an expert, so please make all replies in terms the average person can understand. Thanks a ton for any help!

You must have three things for the engine to start. Fire, Compression and Fuel. Start by checking to see if you have fire by pulling a spark plug out and turning the car over. If you see the spark plug spark move to fuel. You prolly left a single wire loose somewhere. Just go back over everything and see if there are any wires loose or not connected. I hope this helps.
