also, i dont know whether to put the clutch in the bellhousing, then hoist the tranny on the engine, bolt the top 2 bolts, and then bolt the clutch to the flexplate, or to bolt it to the flexplate first, then hoist the tranny on it... ?

I used some old school white lithium grease called Supralube. As for putting the transmission on. I always bolt the clutch up to the flexplate first, then stab the transmission on. Makes it alot lighter when trying to lift the transmission, especially if your by yourself. You may have to work it back and forth, but you should be able to get it in there.
91 awd: 60-1, 880's, E-Prom, etc. 93 awd: JDM 6 bolt, K&N, full exhaust, Wally 255, otherwise stock.

I put the clutch/flywheel inside the trans on the input shaft, then hoisted the tranny up with an engine hoist, and bolted the bellhousing case to the engine block. Then bolted the flexplate to the clutch afterwards.

Man, theres just too much junk getting in your way constantly... its frusterating... expecially with 1 person and 1 motor mount holding the engine crooked n' shit... it took me several hours and i still didnt get it yet... hopefully tomorrow will yield better results.... Atleast I got the quaife installed

Yeah, it definitely is a pain in the ass. Dont let it getcha down, just take your time and you'll get it. I'm on my third transmission, so I'm now a pro at it
