the only thing i've ever heard of is a fake BOV - it makes the chhh noise everytime you shift...same volume everytime - and they also make a FAKE intercooler!!

yes it can be done.
why would you do it if you're n/a?
and it would make you a big RICER if you did.
one guy did it to his accord, he never popped his hood and got spanked constantly that night and made fun of all after that.

The only reason BOV's work is because the engine goes to boost then when it drops into vac it opens the valve and blows off. If you hook it to a CAI there is no boost so hooking a vac line up won't do jack. How are you going to blow off 0 psi?

I blow off at 0psi. =] But hes right, n/a, give me a break. It would have no benefit what SO EVER. It might have some disadvantages though, everyone (including myself) will think your a dumbass, thats $300.00 you could have spent on something that might actually do something and it would just be plain out gay. Its like having a BIG NOS tank in the back of your car so everyone can see it but not having it hooked up.

I saw this little electric thing with a sensor that fits on the throttle body positioner that tells when you let off the gas to shift and a speaker to emulate the BOV sound. What it does is senses when you are under hard acceleration, then when you let off to shift (or your automatic transmission shifts), it lets out this BOV noise. Its pretty ricy. Kinda like that bazooka subwoofer thing (you know the kind, with the amp and speaker all in one tube) made to look like a bottle of nitrous.

what would you need a BOV for if you don't have a turbo? There's no turbine to ram the air into.
