#19328, "Is rattling sound normal?"

i got some no name exhaust from a place called Merlin Muffler and got the resonator removed. Anyway, when I hit rpms above 4, I heard a real loud rattling. I took it back to the shop and they took it for a drive. They said that its just happening because the air is flowing fast or some ish like that. Is that true?

I dont THINK anything under the car is rattling as far as I can tell. I jacked it up and checked the headsheild and anything else I could think might make a rattling noise and everything is tight.

Has anyone else had this problem or have something that might help?
Maybe something is rattling and I just dont see it. I dunno emoji

Where is the sound coming from? Under the car, or maybe under the hood? I know when i took off my exaust header heat shield to polish it, i didn't put it on tight enough, and it rattled or buzzed when i was at higher rpm's. Just a thought. Also, when i got my muffler, it vibrates some panels inside the car too. can you tell exactly where the noise is coming from?

well almsot my whole car is gutted, everything behind the drviers seat is out, so its not the panels. Sometimes it seems like the sound is coming from right under the rear seat, but if i turn my head is seems to be coming from more towards the trunk area.

its your fuel pump mayn!! first time i heard it i was all WTF???

its all good tho, mine buzzes once in awhile at diff. throttle positions while cruisin (especially on da highway)...

i wouldnt worry about it, but now is a good time for u to think about the fuel pump rewire, it has been said that that quiets it down sum...

Mine rattled with the stock and aftermarket muffler. I got magnaflow and custom cat back piping now and It rattles really bad when it's still cold. When it's warmer, it rattles at much higher rpm. I don't like it but I think I'm getting used to it.

sounds like your exhaust pipe heat shields. they run the length of the exhaust. lay on the ground and reach under and tap on them, while they're cold of course to see if they rattle. Good Luck!
