hey, my check engine light came up with code 43..is this a bad thing? how can I fix this?..and also when I try to floor the gas the exhaust starts to putter/choke and I can feel the lose of hp..could this be due to 43? feedback would be appreciated..thanks.

Code 43 is a cylinder misfire so yes that is why you feel like there is lost HP. Start by changing your spark plugs and if it is no different then change the plug wires. If this doesn't help then it maybe something more serious like the coil.

..something more serious like the coil? serious in that it can damage the engine?..how much do you think it would cost to get that fixed or can i do that myself..thanks for your response a newbie needs all he can get

It's not going to damage the engine, I said more serious because a new coil is like $150!!!!

aww man..I'm really hoping it's just the spark plugs or plug wires =T

Just throw some new plugs and wires on there and you will probably have all the problems solved.
