the sound will not increase, but when I hit high Rpm , the sound comes out, the sound appear alot lof time. and I will release the gas pedal, then the sound stop. BTW, is that motor oil u taking about? Ken

I dont know the motor oil, no one in jeffy lube today me I have oil leak. It sounds like high tone clicking (sounds like metal hit metal). The sound appear everytime when I hit high RPM.

That's the exact sound I get ever since I got the car. Does it sound like a ringing, high pitched sound. Kind of like if you were to ring a small bell really really fast. It sounds kinda scary like the car is falling apart, but it's really just something loose that the dealer couldn't figure out.
BTW, this sound does not really change with RPM. It just starts around 5000 rpm and stays constant until you redline.

Yup mine makes the same sound right above 5k rpm. It's just like a ringing sound. I took it twice to the dealer, and they finally blamed it on my gs-t exhaust causing stuff to rattle. I don't think it's anything to worry about. Other people have had that too.

I think I know what you are talking about. On my 95' every time I get higher rpm's there is a kind of whining noise. I think that is what you are talking about. I am not sure but someone told me that it is cused by blocker rings in the transmission ringing. I have no clue what ther are anyways.

when my auto goes over 5k rpms I hear a high pitched sounds too

I have the same noise except it happens whenever. It's a clicking/rattling noise that seems to come from the left of the engine bay. I've had it checked out and they said they couldn't reproduce the sound. I brought the technician for a ride so he could here it and he said it sounded like I was getting a tiny bit of detonation. All I have is an intake and UDP. I've had my timing belt, water pump, head gasket, plugs and wires changed in the last 3 months and I still have this noise.

I'm pretty sure that sound is normal - I got the same kind of sound as Eclipse804. As soon as the RPMs get high you can hear a vibration (comes from the upper dash or engine area.) Can't figure it out but I assume its normal since I've heard alot of people have it with their autos.
